Merrill Provost and Emeriti Brunch

Location: Merrill Provost House

Time: April 28, 2019 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The annual Provost’s Brunch will feature a presentation about the new Merrill Core course and the rethinking of all college Core courses as the first part of the new first-year Academic Literacy Curriculum. There will be plenty of time for questions, answers, and mingling with current students, fellow alumni, and Merrill faculty from past and present.

Noel Q. King Memorial Lecture

Location: Merrill Cultural Center

Time: April 27, 2019 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Professor Noel Q. King helped introduce the study of religion to a young UC Santa Cruz and helped engage Merrill College students in lifelong curiosity about and respect for the beliefs of the peoples of the world. Please join us at Merrill College for the 4th Annual Noel Q. King Memorial Lecture, "Feminism and Africa: A Conversation with Mercy Odoyuye". Mercy Yamoah Odoyuye is a Ghanaian theologian and author of numerous books and articles on Christianity from a feminist and African point of view. Also showcased in the Cultural Center at Merrill will be student work from the Merrill College curriculum.
