Merrill Room Reservations

We have a number of lounges and meeting rooms available for student organization, staff, and faculty use at Merrill College. Please review the room use policy documents below.

To reserve the Cultural Center at Merrill please email bushnell@ucsc.edu.

To reserve the Baobab Lounge or the Crown-Merrill Community Room please email bushnell@ucsc.edu. 

To reserve the Casa Latina 3d floor please email mdesmidt@ucsc.edu or call 831-459-2144.

Faculty can reserve the Charles E. Merrill Lounge, please email mdesmidt@ucsc.edu or call 831-459-2144.

The Baobab Lounge has the following amenities:
  • Television, DVD, Video and digital computer inputs, Surround sound system
  • Accommodates 20-30 people
  • Seating on couches and chairs
  • Several tables
  • Large chalkboard

The Charles E. Merrill Lounge has the following amenities:
  • Television, DVD, video and digital computer inputs, sound system
  • Accommodates 45-50 people
  • Seating on chairs
  • Conference tables

The Crown-Merrill Community Room Lounge has the following amenities:
  • Television, VCR and DVD
  • Accommodates 40-45 people
  • Seating on couches and chairs
  • Several tables

The Loft at Casa Latina (Merrill Library) has the following amenities:
  • Accommodates 20-25 people
  • Seating on couches and chairs
  • One large conference table
  • Large chalkboard
  • Reservations from 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri only

The Cultural Center at Merrill has the following amenities:
  • Accommodates up to 400 people
  • 50 tables/over 300 chairs
  • Full Audio/Visual equipment
  • Complete theater lighting system
  • Fee-based reservation policy
