Announcement of Candidacy to Graduate

 You must apply to graduate with the Registrar's Office online via my.ucsc.edu. For detailed instructions, go here. You can check your eligibility before you apply. Be sure to consult with an academic advisor at your college if there are discrepancies, or if you have questions about graduation requirements. The Deadline to Apply is May 2nd.

Register for the Commencement Ceremony

To apply to participate in the Merrill Commencement Ceremony, go HERE . The Deadline to Apply is May 2nd. Applicants will also be asked to help select the 2013 Class Honoree and 20 Favorite Faculty.

If you are a non-Merrill student interested in participating in the Merrill Commencement, please contact the Assistant College Programs Coordinator at (831) 459-3357. Non-Merrill participants must pay a $50 fee.

 

Commencement Rehearsal & Parking Pass Distribution

A MANDATORY Commencement rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, June 14th at 11 AM, in the East Field track area. After the rehearsal, we will distribute Commencement Parking Passes. Due to UCSC's limited parking, each graduating senior will receive only 2 passes. Bring your student ID when you pick-up your parking passes. Public transportation and ride sharing is highly encouraged.

If you are unable to attend the Commencement rehearsal, please fill out an Absence Request Form -HERE- and deliver it to the Merrill Programs & Activities Office between the hours of 10AM & 3PM, M-F.

Merrill College Commencement Reception

All Merrill graduates and their family and guests are invited to the graduation reception that immediately follows the commencement ceremony on June 15th. The reception will be held in the Merrill Cultural Center from 11:00AM - 1:30PM. Light refreshments will be provided. Parking restrictions apply. No RSVPs or tickets are required.
